Two Pieces of Northeastern Stoneware with Cobalt Decoration, second half 19th century, a two-gallon cylindrical jug with slip-trailed floral motif, stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON VT," circa 1885; paired with a two-gallon cylindrical crock with slip-trailed flower or fruit motif, stamped "HART BRO'S / FULTON N.Y.," circa 1880. Jug with spout chips, hairline to spout, some fry to cobalt, a small in-the-firing iron ping on reverse, and mottling to clay at base. Crock with light exfoliation to front. H (of jug) 14 1/2".
