Lidded Stoneware Crock with Relief Eagle Decoration, Stamped "EDMANDS, / &, CO. / CHARLESTOWN," MA origin, circa 1852-1868, molded crock with stylized handles and relief decoration of a spread-winged eagle surrounding a wreath bearing the maker's mark of Edward and Thomas Edmands. Includes original lid with relief rose pattern. Crock and lid with Albany-slip-glazed surfaces. Crock in excellent condition with minor handle nick. Lid with chips to knob, edge, and underside (some colored). H (including lid) 9".
