Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug, Stamped "OIL," attributed to Branch Green, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1820, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout, impressed "OIL" below a distinctive two-gallon capacity mark. Possible iron wash to surface. Base chips. Two small spout chips. Some in-the-firing contact marks to surface. H 14 1/2".
