Manganese-Decorated Redware Jar, New England origin, possibly North Shore, MA, early 19th century, cylindrical jar with tapered shoulder and squared rim, its lead-glazed surface manganese daubs over a mottled olive and reddish-orange coloration. Heavy chipping to rim. Minor surface wear. Some bubbling to lead glaze. H 8".
