Manganese-Decorated Redware Jug, Norwalk, CT or Huntington, NY origin, second quarter 19th century, ovoid jug with footed base and rounded spout, the lead-glazed surface featuring dark manganese splotches over a reddish ground. Several base chips. Handle with a shallow chip, a few minuscule nicks, and minor wear. Two minuscule nicks to spout. Surface wear. H 8 1/2".
