Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "T.R. WADDELL / VA", mid 19th century, ovoid jar with distinctive tooled rim and lug handles, impressed with Thomas R. Waddell maker's mark at shoulder. Brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A thin 5 1/2" crack from rim on front. A shallow 1" rim chip above one handle. H 12 1/2".
