Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Dash Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1880, cylindrical jar with recessed "wax sealer" rim, decorated with a diamond-shaped design o of graduated freehand dashes. A 5/8" chip to inner wax sealer rim. Minor in-the-firing chipping to base. A short in-the-firing surface line at base, not visible on interior. H 6 3/8".
