One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Watch Spring Decoration, Manhattan, NY or NJ origin, circa 1775, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout, decorated with scrolled "watch spring" motif at the shoulder and cobalt highlights to the handle terminals. A 1 7/8" flake to edge of handle. Three tiny base chips. H 11 1/2".
