Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, PA origin, circa 1865-1875, a one-and-a-half-gallon bowl with graduated flower blossom design, stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG .PA," paired with a one-gallon crock with large tulip motif, stamped "LEWIS JONES / PITTSTON, PA." Bowl with areas of restoration to rim, a 2" hairline from rim, exfoliation to interior, some fry to cobalt, and in-the-firing chips to underside at edge. Crock with exfoliation to base, a few short cracks from rim, and staining. Dimensions (of bowl) 11 3/4" x 5 5/8".
