Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG," PA origin, circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large brushed design of a leafy stem bearing an unusual, trumpet-shaped flower. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent condition with a small chip to side of rim and a faint 1/2" surface line in rim. H 11 1/2".
