Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Stenciled Cobalt Decoration, probably Palatine, WV, circa 1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with three matching stenciled motifs featuring hanging flowers. Bold-faced stenciled "2" near base. Excellent condition with minor surface wear and two short surface lines on interior of rim. H 12 1/4".
