Small-Sized Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, attributed to James Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, PA, circa 1870, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a stenciled scrolled floral motif flanked by five straight and wavy freehand stripes. Excellent use of stenciled and freehand decoration. Desirable size. Very nice condition with minor nicks to shoulder molding, a tiny glazed-over rim chip, some light surface wear, and light staining. H 7 7/8".
