One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Stenciled Cobalt Star Decoration, Western PA or WV origin, circa 1880, cylindrical jar with thick, rounded rim, decorated with a stenciled design of a three smaller stars flanking a larger star with "hollow" star on its interior. A 4" crack from rim on side of jar. A 4 7/8" spider crack to left side, continuing 2" onto underside. Staining to right side and reverse. H 9 1/4".
