One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "THOMPSON / WILLIAMS / & CO. / MORGANTOWN / W. VA.," circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring Thompson, Williams, & Co. maker's stenciling. Freehand stripes to shoulder and base. Crazing throughout. Chipping to shoulder molding. A 2" in-the-firing chip to underside. H 10 1/4".
