Three Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG. PA," circa 1865, a one-gallon jug and one-and-a-half-gallon cream jar with dotted blossom, together with one-gallon cylindrical jar with "spitting tulip" motif. Jug in excellent condition with some dryness to cobalt, a tiny in-the-firing ping to right of maker's mark, and a short line to side of handle. Ovoid jar with heavy chipping to rim, exfoliation to surface, 3" and 1" cracks from rim on front, a 1 5/8" chip to underside at edge, and other small chips to bottom edge. Cylindrical jar with exfoliation to reverse and left side, minor rim nicks, and heavy wear to inner rim for lid. H (of jug) 10 3/4".
