Two Stoneware Crocks with Cobalt Bird Decoration, NY State origin, circa 1875, a two-gallon crock with bird-on-branch motif, stamped "RIEDINGER CAIRE / POUGHKEEPSIE NY"; paired with a six-quart crock with bird-on-leaf decoration, NY State origin. Two-gallon crock with restoration, not affecting cobalt, a thin crack in underside, and a small handle chip. Six-quart crock with staining to surface and a minor base chip, a minor nick to interior of rim, and an in-the-firing ping to shoulder on reverse. H (of six-quart crock) 8 3/8".
