Two Three-Gallon Stoneware Crocks with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Ft. Edward, NY origin, circa 1875, both of cylindrical, handled form, one stamped "OTTMAN BRO'S / & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," the other stamped "NEW YORK / STONEWARE CO." Ottman Bro's crock with restoration to right side of front, not affecting cobalt, although cobalt is covered in varnish. Additionally, a minor chip below rim and a short in-the-firing line on interior of rim. New York Stoneware Co. crock with minor chipping to interior of rim, two long hairlines to front/underside, and a short hairline from rim on reverse. H (of Ottman crock) 10 1/4".
