Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Butter Crocks, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, both of cylindrical, handled form, one with horizontal foliate decoration, the other with swag decoration. Foliate-decorated crock with a restored crack from rim, which extends onto underside, where it is unrestored. Otherwise excellent condition. Swag-decorated crock with rim chips and some fry to cobalt. Dimensions (swag-decorated crock): 4 7/8" x 8 1/4".
