Two Northeastern U.S. Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Decoration, early 19th century, both of two-gallon capacity, one with impressed and cobalt-highlighted floral medallion, probably Xerxes Price, Sayreville, NJ or Josiah Chapman Pottery, Troy, New York; the other with brushed stylized floral motif, attributed to the Bissett Pottery, Old Bridge, New Jersey. Impressed jug with scale-like cracks throughout, some filled. Other jug with in-the-firing flaws to surface and small base chips. H (of stamped medallion jug) 14 1/2".
