Exceptional Stoneware Presentation Pitcher with Profuse Incised Figural Decoration, Westerwald, Germany origin, 19th century, ovoid form with footed base and tooled rim, decorated with an incised and cobalt-highlighted design of a goose within a wreath, along with raised-head birds and the initials "G H" above, and two running boars below. Incised candlestick or ewer decoration to midsection. Cobalt banding to rim and spot decoration to base. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent condition with a 2 1/4" hairline descending from side of rim. H 11".
