One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1885, ovoid pitcher with footed base, tooled shoulder, and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a swag and hanging flower motif descending from the collar. Additional swag decoration below spout and on the sides of the collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Some dryness to cobalt. A streak of staining to left side of pitcher. A 1" chip to interior of spout. A shallow 3/4" rim chip on reverse. A small amount of residue from use to surface. H 10 3/4".
