Three Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, a three-gallon jar with freehand stripe and stenciled decoration, stenciled "JAS. HAMILTON / & CO. / GREENSBORO, PA.;" a two-gallon jar with freehand stripe and stenciled decoration, stenciled "T.F. REPPERT. / MANUFACTURER / BEST BLUE / STONE-WARE. / GREENSBORO. / PA.;" and a stripe-decorated jar, stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES. / GREENSBORO. / GREENE CO. / PA." Hamilton & Jones jar with cracks from rim, salt drips, wear to shoulder molding, light surface wear, a shallow in-the-firing flake to rim, an in-the-firing 1/2" ping to reverse, and a hairline to underside. Reppert jar in excellent condition with some fry to cobalt, light wear to inner rim for lid, a faint 2" hairline from rim on reverse, and some minor staining. Three-gallon jar with heavy chipping to one handle, chips to opposite handle, traces of red paint to surface, a 2 1/2" filled section to right side of rim, some fry to cobalt, minor chips to shoulder molding, and a small chip to bottom edge of rim. H (of smallest) 9 3/4".
