Two Stoneware Jars with Slip-Trailed Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "B.C. MILBURN / ALEXA," VA origin, circa 1850, one-gallon and one-and-a-half-gallon ovoid jars, both with horizontal slip-trailed floral designs on the front and reverse. Provenance: Suzita Cecil Myers Collection. One-gallon jar with reglued pieces at base, additional thin cracks emanating from base, a 1 1/8" in-the-firing chip to top of rim, and cracks to top of rim. One-and-a-half-gallon jar broken into pieces and reglued, with a few minor glazed-over base chips. H (of taller jar) 12".
