Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug with Pittsburgh, PA Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising, "HENRY EVERT. / WINES & LIQUORS / NO. 90 LIBERTY ST. / PITTS.," including stenciled flourishes. A 1 1/4" in-the-firing ping to bottom edge on reverse, primarily visible when jug is turned over. Two salt drips to reverse. A shallow in-the-firing flake to top of spout. A 1/2" in-the-firing base chip to front. A small in-the-firing contact mark near base. H 9 1/2".
