Scarce One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "BELL," Bell Family, Winchester, VA, circa 1835, ovoid jar with flared collar and extruded lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a flowering vine bearing three tulips. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Heavy chipping to handles. A 3/4" rim chip and two smaller rim chips. In-the-firing contact marks to surface, which include in-the-firing surface chips.
