Shenandoah Valley Glazed Redware Jar, Stamped "S. BELL & SON. / STRASBURG," VA origin, circa 1890, semi-ovoid form with semi-rounded rim, the surface dipped in an iron-flecked cream-colored slip and covered in a clear lead glaze. Chips and wear to rim. A 1 1/4" glaze flake below maker's mark. H 6 3/8".
