Four-Gallon Glazed Redware Churn, Northeastern U.S. origin, probably New York State, circa 1850, semi-ovoid with tooled shoulder, slightly-flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a mustard-colored lead-based glaze with interesting crawling throughout. Very nice condition with some small chips to recessed inner rim. A faint 4 1/2" line from rim to left of one handle. H 14 3/4".
