One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, Stenciled "A. CONRAD / NEW GENEVA / PA," circa 1875, ovoid pitcher with tall collar and heavily-tooled rim, decorated on the body with Alexander Conrad maker's stenciling surrounded by scrolled and fanned stenciling. Freehand stripe decoration to rim and base of collar. Spout chips. Two minor rim chips on reverse. A shallow 5/8" glazed-over chip to interior of rim. A smooth 1 1/2" in-the-firing contact mark to right side of pitcher.
