Two Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, Stamped "CLARK & FOX / ATHENS," NY State origin, circa 1840, both of highly-ovoid form, one decorated with a flowering plant, including wooden stopper, and the other decorated with a wreath-like design. Floral-decorated jug with a 1 1/8" flake to top of spout, a small chip to side of spout, some minor in-the-firing flaws to surface, and some fry to cobalt. Other jug with restored handle and some in-the-firing flaws to surface, the spout still crudely-sealed with a cork.
