Two One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitchers, Stamped "LYONS," Thompson Harrington, Lyons, NY, circa 1860, both of ovoid form with tooled midsections and semi-rounded rims, decorated with foliate brushwork in the form of a cross. Both include a freehand-cobalt "1" to the spout and cobalt highlights to the maker's mark. Shorter pitcher with an approximately 2 1/4" restored section to rim/right side of spout, as well as a restored crack descending 4 1/2" from right side of spout, through freehand "1" and ending at the maker's mark. Taller pitcher with significant restoration throughout rim, as well as an unrestored tiny nick to spout, and two minor unrestored base chips.
