Scarce Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "A. KEISTER & .CO / STRASBURG. VA," circa 1850, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, tall collar, and ribbed lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a horizontal tulip motif bearing three open-centered blossoms. A large area of restoration to facade of collar/rim on front and reverse. Restoration to large section of one handle.
