Rare Stoneware Keg-Form Water Cooler with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Beaver, PA origin, circa 1860, ovoid form with raised banding to midsection, rim, and base, the base with bunghole, the top with pouring/vent hole. Decorated on the front with a large, double-stemmed floral motif and cobalt-highlighted to bunghole, applied over slip-coated clay. Reverse decorated with a single flower. Includes wooden spigot. Tight spider crack to underside, extending onto base area in the form of numerous tight cracks. A few minor edge chips. H 15 3/4".
