Fine Glazed Redware Jar, Stamped "A. WILCOX, / West Bloomfield, N.Y.," Ontario County, NY, circa 1850, cylindrical jar with tapered shoulder and flared collar, covered in a heavy, mottled red glaze with light-green accents to the shoulder and interior. Impressed with Alvin Wilcox maker's mark below tapered shoulder. Outstanding color. Provenance: From a forty-year private collection. Very nice condition with light wear to rim and body. H 8 5/8".
