CROLIUS, / STONEWARE / MANUFACTURER / Manhattan-Wells. / NEW-YORK.," circa 1815, highly-ovoid jug with tooling to shoulder and spout, decorated with a scrolled cobalt design related to watchspring motifs of 18th century Manhattan and New Jersey. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. A 1" in-the-firing chip to underside at edge and a minor in-the-firing nick to underside at edge.
