Fine Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "HARRINGTON & BURGER / ROCHESTER, NY," circa 1852-1854, ovoid jug with tapered spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a daisy plant with large blossom, leaves, and two buds, including spotted and striped details. Slip-trailed "2." above. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Excellent condition with a 1" line from spout on reverse, a salt drip to reverse, and some small in-the-firing contact marks to side of jug.
