Two Small-Sized Iron-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, attributed to Frederick Carpenter, Boston, MA, early 19th century, both featuring a highly-ovoid form and tall spout, decorated with dipped iron-oxide slip and covered in a salt glaze. Desirable form and sizes. Smaller jug with a chip to interior of spout. Larger jug with heavy chipping to base, a small chip to top of spout, and a minor glazed-over chip to side of spout's rim. H (of smaller example) 6 3/8".
