Three Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Western PA origin, circa 1875-1885, a two-gallon freehand-decorated jar, stenciled "E.J. MILLER & SON / DEALERS IN / CHINA AND / GLASS WARE. / ALEXANDRIA. VA.;" a canning jar, stenciled "HAMILTON & / JONES / GREENSBORO;" and a one-gallon jar with stenciled and freehand decoration, stenciled "T.F. REPPERT. / GREENSBORO / PA." Miller jar has some restoration, not affecting decoration. Hamilton & Jones jar with chips to rim and inner "wax sealer" rim, a glazed-over ping to right side, and a black ink notation on underside. Reppert jar with restoration, included touch-up to decoration.
