One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1830, ovoid jar with squared rim and arching tab handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a brushed split-stem floral motif featuring open-centered petals. One handle with a brushed cobalt highlight to terminals and top of handle. Other handle with cobalt highlights to terminals. Chips to one handle. Other handle with a tiny chip and short line to one end. Two small chips to interior of rim. A few very minor base chips, one of which is glazed over.
