Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, ovoid jar with flared collar and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a horizontal tulip-and-swag motif. Swag decoration under each handle and cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A few shallow rim chips, the largest measuring 1". Otherwise excellent condition.
