Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Face Jug, Signed "Lanier Meaders," Cleveland, GA origin, circa 1980, ovoid jug with applied facial features including kaolin eyes with black-slip pupils, rounded cheeks, and a small, open mouth with kaolin teeth. Surface covered in a mottled, dark-olive alkaline glaze. Underside incised with Lanier Meaders signature. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 9".
