Glazed Redware Lidded Jar with Two-Color Slip Decoration, attributed to William Eby, Conestoga, Ontario, Canada, circa 1855-1907, cylindrical jar with tapered shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and lead-glazed surface, decorated with copper daubs around the shoulder, manganese daubs around the rim, and splashes of manganese to the body. Includes fitting glazed redware lid with different coloration from the jar, but possibly original to the jar. Jar in excellent condition with minor rim wear. Lid broken into two pieces and reglued, with some chips. H (of jar excluding lid) 6 1/2".
