Small-Sized Glazed Redware Jug, New England origin, early 19th century, highly-ovoid jug with footed base and heavily-tooled shoulder, the surface covered in a lead glaze over a colorful ground with olive, red, and orange mottling throughout. Some restoration to one edge of handle. Minor chipping to left edge of handle. A minuscule nick to lower handle terminal. A small filled and colored spot near base. A small amount of restoration to spout. H 7".
