Glazed Redware Stew Pot, New England origin, early to mid 19th century, ovoid jar with footed base, tooled rim, and ribbed strap handle, the surface covered in a heavy lead glaze featuring olive coloration with orange spotting. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from a recently-surfaced Northeastern U.S. collection assembled decades ago. Base chips. A 1 1/2" x 1" flake to underside along edge. Some surface wear. Some blistering to the glaze. Minor rim wear. H 8 1/8".
