Glazed Redware Jar, Western New York State origin, second quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with flared rim and footed base, the surface covered in a mottled, light-colored lead glaze over a reddish ground. Appealing glaze and form. Very nice condition. Two small base chips, some light wear. to rim, some minor wear to body, and a small, in-the-firing contact mark to midsection. H 6 1/2".
