Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Western PA origin, circa 1875-1890, both of cylindrical form with applied lug handles, a four-gallon jar with freehand decoration, stenciled "C.L. WILLIAMS / & CO / NEW GENEVA / PA;" paired with a three-gallon jar with freehand stripes and elaborate stenciled decoration including a stenciled pinwheel motif, stenciled "J.E. ENEIX. &. CO. / NEW GENEVA, PA." Williams jar with broken and reglued base. Eneix jar with broken and reglued base, including a crack extending from rim to base on left side of jar, and a large L-shaped crack from rim on right side of jar.
