Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Western PA origin, circa 1875, a six-gallon jar, stenciled "R.T. WILLIAMS. / MANUFACTURER / NEW GENEVA / PA" straight and wavy freehand stripes, and a freehand "6" flanked by flourishes at base, paired with a four-gallon jar, inscribed "4" at midsection, with freehand vine decoration above and below, and a stripe below the rim, possibly Morgantown, WV origin. Williams jar with some exfoliation to surface and a salt drip on reverse. Four-gallon jar with a few shallow chips and wear to interior of rim, and restored crack on underside, extending several inches up reverse.
