Tanware Pitcher, New Geneva or Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1885, ovoid form with pronounced collar molding and flared rim, decorated around the body in Albany slip with an undulating vine bearing graduated leaves. Collar molding decorated with brushed foliate motifs. Rim decorated with draped brushwork and base decorated with a freehand stripe. Albany slip highlights to handle terminals. Appealing form. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 5 5/8".
