One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "NEW YORK / STONEWARE CO.", Fort Edward, NY origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird perched on a leaf. Light cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Spider lines around upper handle terminal. A 1 1/2" hairline descending from lower handle terminal. Some fry to cobalt. A 7/8" faint hairline from spout on right side of jug.
