Ten-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Red Wing, MN origin, circa 1880, large-sized, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a flower with leaves resembling a butterfly. Slip-trailed above with a "10", underscored by a flourish. A top-to-bottom crack from rim on reverse, extending onto underside. A 10" crack from rim on reverse. A long, thin crack at base, forming a T that continues onto underside. Some paint residue to rim. Staining to surface. A small handle chip. H 16 3/8".
