Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Mid-Atlantic origin, third quarter 19th century, a two-gallon ovoid jar, decorated on the front and reverse with a two-stemmed clover plant design, Baltimore, MD origin; paired with a half-gallon cylindrical jar with cobalt swag decoration. Two-gallon jar in excellent condition with a short line from interior of rim, partially visible on exterior, a short vertical line at base, a minor nick to shoulder molding, and a minor in-the-firing line to shoulder molding. Half-gallon jar with a few rim chips and some light water glass staining.
